Super Bowl 50: Julius Caesar is Mad; Tyler and Zach are Optimistic
This year's Super Bowl features the Carolina Panthers versus the Denver Broncos.
In all previous years, the National Football League has used Roman numerals in the Super Bowl title. For example, last year's game was known as Super Bowl XLIX (the Roman numerals for "49").
This year, however, the NFL decided not to use the Roman numeral for "50" (if they had done so, it would be called Super Bowl L).
My sources from ancient times are reporting that Julius Caesar is not pleased with this decision. JC thinks we should all be using Roman numerals, all the time.
I know of at least two students who are fans of the teams involved, so I have asked Tyler (for the Panthers) and Zach (for the Broncos) to explain the top 3 reasons why their team will prevail:
2. Our Panther defense has been solid this season. If they play like they have been playing, Manning will not be too satisfied. And Luke Kuechly will be ready, with too many interceptions to count this season.
3. He's been there for five years ... it's coach Ron Rivera. His coaching ability is outstanding. He is 47-32 with this team, and he will lead them to a Super Bowl victory.
1. Led by Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware, the defensive line is the best in the league, and they will sack Cam Newton multiple times. I won't be surprised if they even force a fumble.
2. Denver's safeties and corners will completely shut down Carolina's wide receivers.
3. The Broncos have multiple receiving threats, including Vernon Davis, Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas. The Panthers just will not be able to cover them all.

WHY THE PANTHERS WILL WIN, BY TYLER:
1. At 6'5", my man Cam Newton has overpowered almost all defenses in the league, with the most QB touchdowns this season. I don't think the Bronco defense can handle him. When the Panthers win, I bet Cam will be MVP.
